As I mentioned in the previous post, I’m a little late to add daily sketches since I started these a few weeks ago so I am going to post what I have in my sketchbook thus far and then try and post weekly here with my new sketches. You can always find them on Instagram too!
This is a sketch of Patty,one of the dogs that my Dad and I photographed at Wood’s Edge for the show at Warm Hearth in September. Patty has the most expressive eyes!
Of course I couldn’t have a sketchbook of animals without my dog Lady in it!
This is Cleo, a very hot looking mix of Bermise Mountain dog and something else that I can’t remember.
Well this Scottish Terrier is either Cally or KiKi! There were two that we photographed at Wood’s Edge – both black and I can’t remember which was which but they were both cute!
We recently took a vacation to The Big Island – Hawaii and visited a black sand beach. These beautiful -Birds/ducks were very friendly and allowed me to take several pictures so I could make this sketch.

My niece posted a pic on her IG account of her cat with a new toy. I thought it was hysterical so I sketched it out. Probably could use some color so you can distinguish the pink toy.
While in Key West, we went to the Hemingway House and my Dad photographed several of the 6 toes cats. This one had such pretty blue eyes. I think she would make a nice painting.
My sister-in-law sent me a pic of her Tabby sleeping which was too adorable not to sketch!
Along with cats, Key West is overrun with chickens and roosters! Literally there are over 1000’s of chickens running around on the island. This is one of the roosters that my Dad photographed while we were there.
