I am very much a detail oriented painter and typically spend a few days on a painting, however, I am taking a class, and the first assignment was to paint something and share your inspiration  – but it had to be done in an hour! This was a challenge for me to paint quickly and loosely, but turns out I enjoyed the process a lot and I’m quite happy with how she turned out! The inspiration for this painting was from a girls beach weekend I went on in January and Chula was invited to join us. She thinks she’s one of the girls. I took this photo of Chula on one of our cool morning beach walks. I love the beach in the winter when dogs are allowed to roam and you can just see the happiness in her little face and the breeze blowing through her tail.
